This guide is for students who are interested in careers in government work. There is a wide spectrum of government work, from being at a Federal executive agency to working for a small municipality. Government work in the context of this guide includes the following career paths, at the municpal, state, or federal level:
- Working for a legislative body, or an individial legislator
- Working for an executive agency
- Working as a prosecutor or public defender
