National Level:

• Bureau of Justice Statistics: The most comprehensive database of criminal justice statistics created by the Federal Government. Contains information on crimes and courts on both the federal and state levels.
  • If you're looking for a specific BJS publication, the BJS website also has a list of publications available online.
• Court Statistics Project: Publishes caseload data from state courts.
• Federal Court Management Statistics: Provides information on the caseloads of the Federal courts.
• National Archive of Criminal Justice Data: Provides detailed crime statistics produced by government agencies as well as by outside parties (scholarly reports, non-profit studies, etc.).
• National Criminal Justice Reference Service: Compiles data and statistics from the BJS and various other Federal agencies. This website would be the best place to start for information relating to juvenile justice, or if you can't find what you're looking for on the BJS website.

Massachusetts:

• Executive Office of Public Safety, Crime Statistics: Provides Massachusetts crime statistics.
• Massachusetts Court System, Case Statistics and Court Metrics: Provides data on the Massachusetts state court system.
